Well, it's been an odd holiday, and no mistake.
I'm assuming that anyone who still reads this knows the story. The important thing is that we're safe. Alex, Sally, Pete and I. Somewhere they can't find us. We've made some enemies, but we also seem to have made alot of new friends. Those of you who helped us get out of the Village, thank you. We owe you more than you can know.
We've spent a while thinking, talking about this, and we've come to a decision. It's not over. U-Media are lying to us, and they are using Ed's research, our research for something else. Something wrong. We can't let this rest.
Whatever Ed found out, it was enough to make him want to throw away the life he had built and run. It was enough to get him killed. Which means it's something the public should know about.
Most of all, they murdered two dear friends of ours, and we want to see them brought to justice. We want to know who did this, and why, and we want them brought low.
So, once again, we're asking for help. We had some allies through a difficult time, but that was just the beginning. We need to know what, who and why, so that we can bring these people down.
If they are the pleasant face of U-Media, then we will expose their Sour Heart.
Honesty is the key.

worried
i haven't seen Ed all week.
Holly won't talk about it, i don't know if he's even still on the base.
number six has left the village. amber alert. heh.
someone from corp. hq was round yesterday asking questions. asking to see the synth. samples we've been working on. Pete and Sally sent him on his way. he wouldn't give a name, though. i don't know. had me spooked. Holly won't say anything. she's just working.
which brings me to the work. it's been an exciting week, really. ever since the BEF test Ed ran last week was successful, well... Holly used to tell me how it was at the beginning, just a handful of them, flying by the seats of their pants, and that's how it feels to us now. we've gone from shooting in the dark to... well, flying. we're about half-way to mapping all the key-points on the response graph we drew up at the beginning - which means we're well within sight of a functional (if basic) synthetic trope within the month. which is pretty huge news. maybe even a launch within the year.
i just wish this good news wasn't so balanced with the worry.

Rested!
Well, Rob and I had a lovely... "restful"... ;-) night at his. Which was nice.
Ed had some exciting news today. Obviously I can't give details, but it might be the breakthrough we've been waiting for!
Mmm. Teriyaki Chicken for dinner tonight. *tummy rumbles*

Bah.
Bah. So my old blog suddenly disappeared into a web-hole. It was the final straw for me, so I guess this is my new blog. Hi!
I'm Jan. I work for U-Media as a research assistant. I generally like stuff and things besides my work, but seen as most of my friends are from work, I guess that's most of what I talk about. Sorry if I seem boring sometimes!
Last night Rob and I watched the end of West Wing Season Two. Eek. I nearly cried. Hopefully we'll be at his tomorrow night. Can't leave the village, but it would be nice to leave this block every now and then, even if just for the night.
